How long since you got gas for the car? it could be burning off of the old gas, or running the engine to lubricate it, burn off condensation etc. I don't remember the details, but know that there are a couple of "self clean" cycles programmed into the computer.

It costs $8 for the life of the sticker... They're making $10's of dollars off of this program

I wonder if the 2016 HVAC control panel is plug and play compatible with prior years, or if it requires a software update. It would be SO nice to be able to manage the heated seats, etc. without using the touchscreen...

Sadly, it appears that the PPI was purely a 'compliance car' designed to snap up some of the California market. Now that the HOV stickers are almost gone (probably within the next month) with no more likely to be issued by the state government in 2015, it seems they're playing a wait-and-see game for 2016. If policy changes, they may rush another half-a$$ product to market, if not, there won't be anything. Similarly, Honda quietly cancelled the plug-in Accord in 2014 after only 499 cars. They're definitely not following the lead of GM, Nissan and Ford in producing competitive vehicles that are pushing the technology envelope and are able to sell in the national market.

"distance to empty" is reported in km's when the units are set to metric. I guess that wasn't it....

i noticed that you have a US model car (MPH speedo) that is set for metric mileage; it may not report km's remaining. try changing it back to imperial and see if that corrects it. I will try it too in my 2015 tomorrow morning.

What was repaired/replaced? You've never explained what happened....

ha! I saw the reflection of my car while sitting in traffic with the port open, so I rolled down the window and popped it shut from the drivers seat. Like a zipper, it was awkward to address the situation, but in my mind, more embarrassing to be seen driving with the fly open. Kind of like having toilet paper stuck to the back wheel!

I noticed some of the same differences between my Job-2 2013 FFH Titanium and my new 2015 FFE. I have been driving the 2013 some this past week to get it ready to sell (the new owner is coming to pick it up on Monday). The engine is definitely louder, even though I replaced the intake with the newer style with the resonator. In general, the 2015 feels much more "refined" even though it is essentially unchanged from the 2013. I never had any issues or problems whatsoever with the 2013; so I think it is due to ongoing refinements over time. Also, from what I recall, I think that the final drive gearing is shorter on the Energi than on the hybrid; (though that would favor a quieter hybrid, no?) Some other noticeable differences: You can actually turn off the air conditioner simply by pressing the a/c button!!!The 2015 steering wheel is more heavily padded and with a different leather (matte that matches the upholstery rather than glossy)The switches in the center console (parking brake, auto-park, EV mode, etc.) have a matte appearance and the lighting is a bit differentThe overhead lighting switches are different (one has been removed in the 2015)The 2015 seats are more heavily padded (although my 2015 has heated and ventilated seats)The colors in the dash display are toned down (green and orange are darker)The turn signal stalk has reverted to the traditional style, rather than the immediate return on the 2013. Turn signal, parking sensor clicks are toned downThe navigation system is more finely calibrated (the 2015 can tell that the Oakland Bay Bridge has moved even though the 2013 has the most updated software; it can find POIs, and previous destinations more reliably from the steering wheel controls)The trunk lid pull-down on the inside of the lid is different and more substantialThere probably are many other running changes internally as well. It would be interesting to see if anyone has a list of these from Ford. I certainly understand the desire to tone down the sound of the ICE; it is the only thing that I wish were more refined in this car!

In the San Francisco area, there are dozens with the exact specs that you would want. (check out Serramonte Ford in SF or The Ford Store in Morgan Hill, two of the largest in the area) I don't know if a dealer would ship that far, but you may have some luck. You could also fly out and drive back with the trunk filled with (2 cases of) wine! Also, look on Ford's website for all in-stock cars in the region (extended dealer inventory) The model you are looking for should be easy to find; it's at the top of the price spectrum. You can copy the VIN and google it; it will almost always tell you what dealer the car is physically located at.

That really looks good! Could you give us some information about the lights, $$$, and installation process?

Did you overfill the gas tank? Fusions have had problems that if you top it off (multiple clicks with the gas pump) it will trigger the check engine light because the breather gets clogged. It self corrects and doesn't happen if you don't try to pump every last drop into the tank. This happened a few times with my 2013 hybrid. You can also run a vehicle health report using Sync and have it sent to your email account and dealership to capture the code when the light triggers.

I started another thread about high mileage Gen II fusion hybrids on this site; there are a number of them here in San Francisco that have 150,000+ miles. So far, drivers say that there are no major mechanical or battery problems. It sounds like you will be doing a lot of highway driving, which is a lot easier on the car than all city. There are a lot more high mileage C-max's floating around, and there have not been any reliability or durability problems reported there, either. If you're concerned about the 'nickel and dime' things, get a high mileage factory warranty from Flood Ford. They're really cheap and can be purchased any time that the car is still covered by the original warranty. I Ford will insure the car for up to 8 years and 125,000 miles. It's VERY cheap and the platinum level coverage is very comprehensive.

No forum would be complete without this thread! I haven't seen many people's experiences either here or on the hybrid forum regarding higher mileage cars. Who has the highest mileage Energi here? Any issues or problems to be on the lookout for? Today at work a pretty beaten Fusion Hybrid taxi (probably a 2013) pulled up, and I asked the driver about his car. He has driven it 170,000 San Francisco miles and has had no mechanical or battery issues so far. That's pretty reassuring considering that the front bumper and grill were all fastened with sheet metal screws and the back bumper had a hand crafted vibe about it.

Just that its a noticeable noise with the windows down; i cannot hear it with the windows up, but I have less than 1000 miles on my car. how many miles do you have? Perhaps you need to have the rotors turned to deglaze them.

i didn't notice that the fan turned on with the seat heaters on hi but can be heard with the coolers.

The mini spare barely wedges into the tire well in the hybrid; it is blocked by the battery case. Even though the Energi has the same floor pan and tire well, there is no way a tire is going to be able to slide under the battery and fit. I doubt that any spare will fit into the trunk of the Energi! I think we're out of luck...

Only with the windows down, but it is noticeable. I believe that you mentioned that you have two sets of rims for the car. Are they both OEM for the Energi? The Energi has thicker front brake rotors than hybrids and gasoline Fusions and, for example, the mini spare that fits these models are incompatible with the Energi because they interfere with the brake caliper. Check the specs (offset) of the second set of wheels to make sure that there's enough clearance for the caliper; it may be binding.

In my parking garage at work, I have the front window open to swipe my parking card. There definitely is a very mild grinding noise that i have never heard in any of my previous cars. I think that the car is otherwise so silent that you may be hearing normal brake noise. When it was screeching, the pads and rotors may have been glazed over

I have noticed a huge difference between my 2013 Fusion Hybrid and my 2015 Energi. Both have the same black leather Titanium seats, but only the Energi has cooled seats. As everyone mentions with the older cars, the heated seats roast almost immediately. I would start off at 2 and quickly turn it down to 1 for a comfortable ride. In the 2015, however, setting 1 and 2 are almost imperceptible and 3 feels like the old '1'. i haven't sold my 2013 yet, so I went back and checked and found an obvious difference. i wonder if it has to do with the cooling feature in the newer cars. Could the heating element be deep to the cooling pads? Does everyone with heated seats only have hot seats? Does anyone with heated and cooled seats have seats that warm quickly and get hot?

Unfortunately, the tax rebate for installing a home charger expired on December 31, 2015. Maybe congress will extend that benefit again, but if they can't even fund Homeland Security, I'm not holding my breath!

Does it work on your computer desktop when you log-in? I had the same thing happen to me with the mobile app. I did the second confirmation but nothing happened- I was totally locked out. Up-to-date complete info was shown for my car (purchased last weekend!) on the desktop site. Try deleting the app (not your account!) and reinstalling it from the app store. I logged in and everything was up to date!

Reminds me of when the local Mercedes Benz dealer told me I was overdue for spark plugs in my diesel.
