About fordfusionenergise

  1. Yay, I got a new achievement of 10K EV miles with only 5.5K total miles on the car. Excellent, I can see my future with this car. lol
  2. Welcome to Energi Club. Congrats for new car. Yes, the gas engine starts up once the battery runs out. Once HVB is depleted, riding in gas mode only charges the hybrid portion of the battery. The HVB battery is divided into two parts- one EV only and other hybrid battery. Once the EV only battery portion is depleted the car switches to hybrid mode. You can find more information on optimum use of HVB battery in this thread http://www.fordfusionenergiforum.com/topic/4614-how-to-prolong-life-and-charging-capacity-of-hvb-in-ford-fusion-energi/
  3. Yeah, you get tax credit when you buy new, if you lease the car then Ford gives you rebate.
  4. I was initially going to buy FFH but after learning about Tax credit, FFE's final price is lower than FFH luxury model. Now FFE is a go-go for me. :spend: Considering the main use of car (commute to work) I am okay with the smaller trunk size of FFE.
  5. Hi All, I could be a potential FFE owner. I know that Federal govt. offers tax credit for FFE (~$4k). I was looking to buy a FFH before, but after looking at the tax incentive, I am tempted to buy FFE. Is this tax credit already included in the price of the FFE or do we need to claim it when filing taxes ? If the tax credit is to be claimed later, then I would go for FFE as the both models would cost almost same after tax credit. :happy feet: Thanks.
