  1. I am just going through the process to get my 2014 Ford Fusion Energi modem/TCU firmware updated. The MyFordMobile rep went through the issues with me and told me to schedule an appointment with a dealership to get the Modem/TCU firmware updated from 1.4.3 to 1.4.7. It should be updated under warranty because the warranty for that part was extended after the part was replaced under the recall. When I go here, https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/maintenance/recalls.html?pagename=Owner/Page/RecallsPage%3fgnav=footer-owner, I see this: "SYNC WITH MYFORD MYLINCOLN TOUCH WARRANTY EXTENSION COVERING ACCESSORY PROTOCOL INTERFACE MODULE APIM" with a Field Service Action Number 12M02. She also mentioned a Service Message Number of 47198 which should give the tech the instructions on how to perform the upgrade. I printed out the information and am putting it on a paper in the car so the tech has it handy when taking it in for service. I called the dealership just to describe the issue and he asserted that his "hybrid person' knows how to perform this action. I will report back. @Phatman, I hope you got your warranty extended on that part like I did when it was upgraded to 3G under the recall.
  2. This is the third time I have lost connectivity with the new 3G modem after having it replaced in January. I believe I have discovered the culprit. When I travel to places with no AT&T coverage, it stops working and I need to pull the fuse to reset it. Pulling that fuse is such a pain. I guess I could pull the battery cable instead but I don't want to reset the other systems and cause some problem there. Has anyone else noticed that it stops when going into a bad AT&T coverage area?
  3. I am in the same boat. I got the upgrade done on Tuesday but they are waiting on the trim pieces. The bad news is that they didn't come in today, Thursday morning, so I took the car back. They really wrenched the trim pieces and got grease on the headliner. This is the third headliner put in the car and the third set of trim pieces because the car originally had grease on the headliner. Whatever you do, don't change the headliner. Also, don't expect the fit of the trim to have the same fit as from the factory. Also, ask for SYNC version 3.8 update. It was user installable briefly but was then made dealer-install only. I learned the dealer does not automatically upgrade SYNC. It has the Siri update which is pretty useless, but it least there is something.
  4. Whatever you do, don't let them replace the headliner. When I picked up my car from the dealer upon purchase, someone got an oil smudge near the driver's ceiling handle. They tried to clean it and made it worse. It took two more headliners and several pieces of trim to attempt to get it back to how it should be. It was a year of hell going through the process. It turns out that replacement headliners are folded when put in shipping boxes which creases the edges. You will never get anything close to factory quality.
  5. I certainly have not. Did a dealer call you, or was it the manufacturer?
  6. Palo Alto, California now has sporadic coverage now. I usually get the "done charging" notifications after I drive the car around, sometimes hours later. Not very useful. Most of the time, I cannot get status from the car.
