How Many Miles did You Get out of your Michelin's
My14Energi replied to ptjones's topic in Tires & Wheels
I got 73k out of mine but switched to a more performance oriented tire for wet traction. Those Michelins were very unstable and unsafe in wet weather. -
Huge drop in expected range! From 610 to 484!!!!!
My14Energi replied to Benergi's topic in Forum Help and Suggestions
What your relying on is an inaccurate way to determine your mpg and range. It has a way of doing its own math and giving you an "estimate". I cant tell you how many times i purposely pushed the car past its "miles until empty". Do this, if your on a highway with mile markers you will notice you will go way further than a mile and still have only one mile deducted from the range. Or, if your not near a highway set your left display to show trip info and the range display. You will soon learn the numbers of actual driven vs range dont match up. Your nit-picking over something very trivial. -
My Go times work and i still have the old non-functioning 2G modem, so they arent dependent on any kind of connection.

Lane keep, blis, sunroof? I have two more years before mine goes bye bye. Wonder how the value will hold up. Mine is basically a Platinum before they made a Platinum. Its spoiled me as i have a hard time finding cars equally equipped.

Btw...went with Kumho Ecsta PS31 tires. They're Z rated tires which are probably more tire than the car needs but i wanted a good wet performing summer tire. All season tires are junk for down here. They feel great, drive great, low noise and handle great in the rain. We'll see how the mpg are affected, thus far i feel the performance outweighs any drop in mpg's. Oh, and at $69 a pop im happy with the money spent.

I got 73k miles out of the original Michelin Energy Savers, which is about the only good thing about those tires. They made the car feel like it was driving on marshmallows and i'd have to say they are down right unsafe in wet weather.

While driving on the highway with the cruise set the familiar dash chime went off and a red lettered message with a red triangle came on saying "Pull over safely and shut engine down", or something similar to that. The a/c went warm vut the car was still drivable. I went about another 1/2 mile to a safe place thinking i would need a tow. After pulling over and shutting it down for about 30 seconds it started back up with the triangle gone and drove fine. No explanation other than a possible glitch? Anyone experience a red triangle warning?

Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go

Do ya'll not have the red collision alert that flashes up on the windshield? Thats how my ACC lets me know it needs interaction to stop. Otherwise it will jam the brakes pretty hard depending on traffic. -
My dealer has a 2017 Platinum Energi for $24k, only thing holding me back from upgrading is the brown interior and tan seats. Ugly color combo imo. If they offered a Platinum with the same seats in black i'd be on board.

Im at 60k miles. Diminished battery but still 20 EV miles and an overall 42.6 mpg

My kwh has decreased but range is still 20

Moonroof owners, do you actually use that thing?
My14Energi replied to 4cylinder's topic in Body Exterior
Going back to 2001, i had a dodge, three lincolns and now the fusion. All had sunroofs and none ever leaked a drop. My last lincoln had the panoramic roof that opened and not a single issue. I also park inside my garage daily which is rare these days, most people turn their garage into a storage unit. I suspect the opposite....less use causes leaks and problems -

Use it daily. Havent owned a car without one in a long time. -
So i unclipped the panel underneath the steering column and the cabin temp sensor is to the right of the steering column. Holy cow was the little fan inside and the electronics covered in dust and fuzz. Quick spray with compressed air and problem is gone

No power and can't get into trunk
My14Energi replied to Campbellsoup's topic in Batteries & Charging
Havent had any battery issues yet but my 2014 with 60k miles is still running the original battery. Possibly a good proactive step to replace soon before it dies?....of course that would happe at the worst opportunity -
So then technically the electric heater is always activated when the a/c is on, whether its set to 65° or 80° ?

I've seen a lot of these posts but isn't it a pretty simple solution. Use the key inside the remote, open the door, pop the hood, jump start it like you would any other car correct? -
One Theory I've been thinking about regarding these cars, with most cars that have automatic climate control when you set it to a specific temperature in order to maintain that temperature it will open and close a blend door to allow heated air to mix with the cold to maintain that temperature. Typical cars get that warm air by the coolant, but on these cars if you're in electric-only mode where is the car getting the heat to compensate to keep it at a specific temperature?

Mine is now doing this, anyone find a solution?

And yet i get my best mileage this time of year. Range this morning was 23 miles. So what puts more stress on the car/battery....cold up north winters or hot ass florida summers?

Does your 2015 FFE sound like a bad 80s videogame?
My14Energi replied to Blastphemy's topic in 2015 Fusion Energi
