  1. Thanks everyone for the advice and opinions. You certainly gave me a lot to think about.
  2. For the first few weeks after I bought my Fusion Energi, I averaged one trip per day, and was able to do it all on one charge. So the 7 ½ hour charging time for a depleted battery was not an issue; I would charge the car overnight. Lately, though, my trips have been longer and/or I've made more than one trip a day, resulting in a depleted battery before going out again, or the battery being depleted before I return. A charging state costs in the neighborhood of $1,000 installed, and even with the 30% tax rebate, it's still about $700. Is it really worth it?
  3. Unfortunately, the 2016 Fusion has the 2nd generation SYNC, and not SYNC 3, so it can't be upgraded to CarPlay.
  4. If I understand this correctly, I can get 30% of the cost of installing a charging station as a tax credit for my 2016 income tax return. Is my understanding correct?
  5. Thanks. Oh, my Fusion Energi Titanium is red and is named Eris.
  6. I read in another discussion that there may be a tax credit for installing a charging station. Does this apply to installing one in one's home for one's personal use? Or is it for commercial stations? If it is for personal use, what are the details for getting it?
  7. I got a $5,000 rebate for leasing my Fusion Energi. That is a lot more than the tax credit I would have received had I purchased the car.
  8. After owning a Prius for 11 years and winning a Smart For Two in a random drawing, I traded both in for a 2016 Fusion Energi Titanium. I leased it rather than buying it, though. About the only options I didn't get are active parking assist and moon roof. Didn't want the latter, and no vehicles were available with the former that had the other options I wanted. I rarely parallel park anyway, so that's not a big deal. -- Michelle
