About Dark Matter

Mine did the same thing, saying it was "Out and About" when it was outside my office charging. I dinked with setting Go Times, etc. to no avail. The next day it worked fine and has ever since. I still don't know why. My current issue is that the Go Times don't seem to kick in. I have the car plugged in and the Climate on Auto. When I go to the car at the appointed time, it is not pre-conditioned to the temp like it says it will be on the website. My phone software won't support the MyFordMobile App, but the website has all the appearances of functioning.

Everything is bigger in Texas, right? I haven't measured the bags, but I did take a picture so I'd remember how to put them back in on the way home! -

Hey All, I just used my first public charging station! It was a hoot and I thought it might be helpful/fun if we had a place to post our successes/failures for others in case they are looking. The one I used was in Napa, CA and was located at the Premium Outlets (SE corner behind the food court entrance). They have 2 Level 2 chargers and they are working fine. It took a couple of hours to charge. Incidentally, I have Sync email my phone when the charge is complete. It's such a cool feature! They are free. :banvictory:

Hi Chillval, We took our first trip in the car this weekend. Trunk is tight, but you can pack more in it than you would think at first glance. Shown are three rolling carry-ons, a laptop case/briefcase, and another piece of smaller luggage. There are a couple of small things tucked in above, but not much. We hung the garment bag in the rear seat. Hope it helps. -

Yes, my trunk has bonked me on the head a few times while I was getting things in/out like others say. My front passenger window didn't do the one-touch up/down and I took it to the dealer for a couple of things. It worked for him, of course, but I found that it hadn't been "programmed" as mentioned above. It works fine now without a hitch. I am taking it in next week so they can look into the remote start. They couldn't get it to work either. I am wondering if it is another programming issue, but I didn't see info on it when I searched.

Has anybody else had success/failure with the Sync Destinations app? I installed it on my Android phone and it worked great the first time. Via Bluetooth, it told me routes and alternates to my destination with approximate times. It reported an accident that the Sirius Traffic system didn't. The next two times I tried it, it failed to connect properly, then locked my home screen. I pulled over (into a parking lot) and restarted the car to get it going again, and the first thing it said was, "Performing system maintenance." Today it shut the audio off completely. No voice commands, no music-Sirius or otherwise. I ended up turning my phone on and off a few times and deleted the app. I had to rediscover my phone. BTW, it discovered a phone in another commuter's car stuck in traffic near me. "Hey" to Cassia, if you're out there. I'm wondering if it is worth it. Perhaps my phone software is just too old? The idea is NOT to be pushing buttons while driving.

The Energi is a tonic for the weary commute life! 1,200 miles in the three weeks that I've had it and I love it more every day. I left the car in auto mood for the first 1,000 miles to see if it learned my habits and resisted the urge to fiddle with the EV. My commute is 38 miles each way in your classic lousy traffic with occasional stretches of 70 mph. The EV mileage charge started out at 21, then dropped to 16 because it always started out my commute (the fastest part) with EV and ran it until it was depleted. Today, I started "saving the EV for later " use during the stop and go portions and got 26 miles out of it. I only used 0.4 gallons of gas each way. I charged it at work-6 hours to full charge. I feel like I'm driving a video game and want to keep improving my score!
