Severe inside window condensation ~ overnight

Are you operating your HVAC in Auto mode? If you try to tweak it manually, you could inadvertently be disabling all the logic which should prevent moisture from occurring. -
Engine is loud when switching from EV to gas at lower speeds
mrmikel replied to Stangtech's topic in 2016 Fusion Energi
Hello, and congrats on the new car. So, our cars don't have a standard transmission. We have a Continuously Variable Transmission or CVT. Our transmissions can't "slip", though it may seem or feel like it is, especially under hard acceleration. I have a 2013 Titanium Energi, and I have been noticing something similar to you, the loudness when the ICE kicks in. Almost seems like a hole in the exhaust system somewhere. Trying to avoid the dealership service dept if I can until I can pinpoint the symptoms a bit better. -
I'm interested in this issue, too. I have a 2013 FFE and my wife has a 2013 Escape. Both will go dark when the ATT 2G cell system is dismantled. I wonder how much Ford will charge us for an upgrade, assuming one is coming.

I too recently acquired a 2013 FFE Titanium, minus nav and park assist. I did have nav added for $500 by Jason at www.fordpimods.com. And the previous owner of my car must have driven mostly on battery because the lifetime MPG was in the 80s. I immediately reset the lifetime so I can be more realistic with my driving. Good luck with the "new" ride!!

I can only see the last 2 trips in MFM. What am I missing?

Getting "Front camera needs cleaning" error chime and warning.

I'm talking about the cover over the camera. That plastc can get filmy, just like the windows can. -

I'm no expert here, but have you thought of just taking a cotton cloth and wiping the camera lens on the back of the rear view mirrior and then also wiping the inside of the windshield on the inside where the camera is looking out? No idea if this even makes sense, but just thought I woud throw it out there. Sometimes its the simple solutions. -
New Energi owner here, used 2013 model. Had it 5 weeks now. It's winter here and I can't expect miraculous numbers. And a lot of my trips are well beyond the electric-only range of the car. But by reading all the amazing, helpful tips here, I have started to figure out how to get the most out of the car. With my 2010 FFH, I eventually just started to drive it, and would get a kick out of seeing the MPG for each trip, when I remembered to look. I suspect I will get to the same place with this car eventually as well. Until then, I'm having a blast learnng all the technology on this car.

Any merit to the work performed by www.thehybridshop.com?
mrmikel replied to mrmikel's topic in Batteries & Charging
I sent them an email to inquire about that. Here is their response: Hello Mike, Currently, we are only conditioning NIMH batteries…and there are a few reasons why: · Capacity can be added to NIMH batteries…capacity CAN NOT be added to lithium…at least with today’s technology. · Most vehicles with lithium batteries likely have 5 years + left in their manufacturer’s warranty · We think that in the next 5 years, technology will provide the solution to the lithium capacity element…our tech team is already working on it -
On this and other hybrid forums, the topic of battery replacement invariably comes up. Most likely none of us will ever have a problem with our batteries, but if we do, what options do we have? Purchase a new battery at a high cost. Purchase a used battery and take your chances. But what about The Hybrid Shop (www.thehybridshop.com)? If our capacity really tails off, will the service they perform really make a difference? Just curious what everyone thinks, thanks!!

Fusion Energi Owners - Please Look
mrmikel replied to flamingoezz's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
Gas prices won't always be this low. Something will happen and we will be paying $3.00+ per gallon. Then this car will be in high demand. -
Yes, I have the settings correct. But when I get into the started car, the heated seats show as not turned on. Perhaps they ARE on the low setting, and the MFT just doesn't display them as on?? I will have to pay attention to the seats next time to see if they ARE on but just not showing as on. Such fun!

Welcome to the forum! I just traded a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid (FFH) for a 2013 Ford Fusion Energi (FFE) Titanium. Used, 1 owner, low miles. Still trying to figure out how to maximize battery life - lots of thread son that here. Good luck!

Hello Eve, Welcome to the forum! So I guess i'm not the newest 2013 Ford Fusion Energi owner here :) . Tell us more about your ride. What color is it? Where/under what circumstances did you buy it (dealer, private party, etc)? How many miles? I have had mine for about 3 weeks now, and I'm just getting used to all the controls and options and My Ford Touch and My Ford Mobile. I am learning A LOT by reading the threads, even the very old ones. I learn something new every day! Hope you find the forums useful as well. Mike

Ask him, he will tell you. Some stuff with tailgate locks on larger SUVs, and others. There's an A7 card now?? OY!
-
I paid $500, and that includes the A6 SD card. He has invested a lot of money into equipment and the Ford software to be able to do this. He has exploited other features that are built into the software but are disabled by Ford.

My new used 2013 FFE Titanium came well equipped, but it lacked navigation. I did a search on Google to see what my options were. I came across a fellow that can add navigation to many Ford and Lincoln vehicles, if the car can support it. He can check your VIN number and tell you if your car is a candidate. The process involves reprogramming the APIM module, which is located on the back of your 8" MFT (or MLT for Lincolns) screen. He can either do it in person (what I did), or you can send him your APIM for reprogramming. He actually came to me today, as he was going to be in the area servicing other cars. He also updated the programming on many other computer modules. I now have full navigation and I couldn't be happier! His name is Jason, and his website is www.fordpimods.com. So if you are wanting navigation instead of a compass, you may want to check it out.

2015 Energi Titanium ENGINE BLEW AT 10K miles
mrmikel replied to Wishboneusmc@gmail.com's topic in Lounge - Fusion Energi
Glad it worked out. Yet another reason to avoid Walmart. -
Yeah, that and other similar sites come back with "That window sticker has not been loaded yet". That's why I went in to the dealer.

Any updates from WIshbone?? -
Regarding the window sticker, I stopped by a Ford dealer today to pull one.

HybridBear, Happy New Year! And thanks for this invaluable information. In my pursuit to find a full window sticker, I did stumble upon the ETIS website. I have a build date of 19JUN2013, so I think I may have eluded many of the earlier recalls for this car. As for a L2 charger, for now I am just fine with my L1 charger. My wife gets a kick when the car sends me a text saying its fully charged :-). Yes, I am in the Twin Cities metro area, and will keep this recommendatin in mind if I want to upgrade. Car was purchased from Poquet Auto in Golden Valley. Very fair pricing (no haggle) and a decent value for my trade-in. One of my biggest hurdles it trying to figure out what the braking coach wants from me. I can't see a pattern to what I am doing and how it scores my result. A work in progress for sure. And I am really trying to figure out why a Titanium trim package doesn't include everything.
