  1. My fourth quadrant is out now too. It's yet to go to the dealer for any problems...so I guess it's about time.
  2. Welcome to the forum and Congrats on the new Energi! As HybridBear mentioned the Ford videos on YouTube are a great place to start. Don't hesitate to ask any question here as well. Enjoy the quiet ride that awaits you.
  3. That's good to know Hybridbear. As long as it doesn't reset the MPG, that should be alright.
  4. Thanks as always for the feedback. I'll give my dealer a call to,have it checked out...it will be the first time to go in for anything.
  5. I just ran the Vehicle Health Report this evening and a recall notice popped up. Here is the content: "There are recalls for your 2013 Ford Fusion Energi at this time. This Recall and Field Service Actions system tracks safety and emissions, recalls, and certain other field service actions (FSA) for which vehicles are subject to repair in the United States. For more information on Ford Motor Company recalls and a complete listing of other FSAs or concerns you may be having with your vehicle, please contact your dealership directly Notice #: 14E02 POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE REPROGRAMMING A recall is an action by the Company to remedy a safety or emissions related concern related to a vehicle defect or other legal requirement. It may require that you return your vehicle to the dealer for service." Anyone heard about this?
  6. That's a bummer...glad you got it worked out. It's easy to program your own "easy to remember" code. You just need to know the factory code and then access it on My Ford Mobile (if equipped) or go to page 56 in your owner's manual.
  7. It's great to see that others are adopting the world that everyone in this forum already enjoys. If you are willing to compromise the trunk space, it is a great technology. We have 3,200 miles on ours and have only filled it once.
  8. Congratulations! The technology is hard to beat when compared to just about anything else out there. Looking forward to some pictures.
  9. Congrats on your new Energi. I'm assuming that it was a great road trip too.
  10. Welcome to the forum and best wishes for many great miles!
  11. Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new Energi. One thing that will melt away is the "range anxiety" when you see that it will go 600+ miles on a full charge with a full tank of gas. I'm looking forward to reading your posts as your new miles unfold.
  12. Hi Mike, welcome to the Forum. In regard to your question about the trunk space, then think about what it would typically be required to carry. If there are just two of you, then it's an easy fit. From our experience, we can get a whole cart of groceries in the trunk as well as luggage for the two of us (six pieces). We find the space above the battery is real handy and have no problem folding the rear seats down for extra space when required. My bigger question would be in getting your bicycle on board. Certainly a bike rack is your best bet. From my experience and research, the Fusion Energi was the only choice when I considered battery range, quality of construction, technology, and how safe I would feel while being in an accident.
  13. Fantastic! Congratulations and welcome to the forum.
  14. Great topic. You can also check on Plug Share to see if there is a hotel with a charger along your way. Some will advertise an available outlet that you can use. BTW - That was a funny post Smokewagon, I was expecting you to say, "Go ahead...make my day."
  15. It looks like a hassle, but have you tried the steps that kpleake did in the post right above yours? It may be quicker than waiting for a solution.
  16. This Sterling Gray 2013 Fusion Energi has the Titanium Trim Package with all options.
  17. From the album: Splendida Futuris (Bright Future)

This was the instrument cluster data after we returned from a day of EV driving that marked the one year anniversary with our Fusion Energi. We have adopted the EV/Hybrid lifestyle well which included a stop at a free public charger in the afternoon which gave us enough charge to go to the grocery store and continue back to the home garage. There are very few cars that can go a year without filling and get over 220 miles per gallon. This particular vehicle demonstrates how versatile the future of automobiles will become.
  18. Hmmm - I've never noticed that space but mine is the same as well. It looks like it would be handy for enclosed tools, emergency kits, or something that you could put in a breathable net bag. We've only put larger flat items on the shelf anyway. It's been a great way to keep things warm while you drive in EV mode. ;-)
  19. There shouldn't be openings that a handbag will drop through. Please post a photo of your trunk when you have a chance.
  20. That's fantastic. You can pass the time by downloading the PDF of the owner's manual and learning the systems. Also there are some great videos on YouTube that will help you to become familiar with it. Keep us posted.
  21. Congratulations! Hmmm - a Kia or an Energi --- you definitely did the right thing. (And it seems like you got an amazing deal).
  22. That's a great question. When we were at the car show last year, there were absolutely no EVs or even PHEVs that I would feel safe driving on the highway. I love the technology but hated the thin plastic switches, seats, and knobs (all wrapped in vehicles that a few of us could pick up and carry away. Plus I would have terrrrrible range anxiety no matter what the charge status is or how many miles the battery is rated for. Everything came together for me when I saw the Fusion Energi. It was well built, loaded with technology, and had the proven history of the reliability of the Ford Hybrid. We have planned our local trips around charging stations whenever possible and adopted a lifestyle that has opened a lot of doors for conversations and have helped to show others that there are other options out there from simply a gasoline engine or even a Prius. It's been a fantastic car so far, but I know I'm speaking to the choir here on this forum. I'm speaking at our dealer next month about Electric Hybrids and we are compiling footage for a video that highlights the versatility of the Energi. So all in all there are no regrets and I'll continue to sing the praises of a car that each (or at least most of us) are enjoying.
  23. That is FANTASTIC! I'm at a year now with my original tank of fuel...showing 218mpg...what a great ride!
