  1. Plugged in my Energi yesterday and nothing, no charging. Tried two more outlets. If I start and shut down the car it will charge for 30 seconds then stop. Runs fine otherwise as a hybrid. Geez. What is happening?
  2. So we travel with our professionally trained German Shepherd, and he is perfectly happy to stay in the back of the cool Fusion Energi set to 66 degrees whilst we go in a restaurant for lunch. I leave the Energi on, ready to drive, but of course in Park, leave the keys inside the Energi, and use the numeric post on the outside pillar driver's side to lock the car. PROBLEM IS, the Energi cuts off just about at 30 minutes, doesn't matter how much battery reserve there is, and I have to go out and restart it. 1. Is there a way to over-ride that 30 minute timer? 2. Do I have the time right, is it 30 minutes or something else? Our 2016 Impala LTZ 2 will idle indefinitely as would our previous Ford Crown Vic.
  3. I have 25,000 miles and just purchased Ford's 60 month 125,000 mile warranty for $2,050. I am worried about battery degradation though which is not covered.
  4. So of course only getting about 21 miles of electric only propulsion, my strategy is to run it all electric in stop-and-go traffic, and run it as a hybrid on the expressways when I'm using cruise control. Is this a good strategy for economy? Thanks
  5. So, my 2015 Fusion Energi key lives in my center console. Whenever I get out I hit the 7/8 and 9/10 buttons on the outside pillar simultaneously to lock it, and enter my combination to get back in. Is this safe? Any reason I shouldn't have this convenience? Thanks!
  6. My previous car was a 2012 Fusion lease, and the key FOB never went off as a result of being in my pocket. On my 2015 Energi, the alarm erroneously goes off 3 or 4 times a week. What the heck?
  7. So my 2015 Fusion Energy has 4,700 miles and I went by the dealer today to ask why my window sticker from them says maintenance and oil change every 5,000 while the manual says 7,500 to 10,000 under normal driving conditions. I stated that of the 4,700 miles on my Fusion Energi, around 3,000 have been all-electric, and all has been pretty mild driving. He stated that just the pollen level alone in our city qualified for severe use, and that if I intended to own the car a long time I needed 5,000 mile intervals anyway for maximum car life (I'm smelling baloney at this point). Pollen level - what the air filters? 1. Is he correct? 2. As an aside, I assume extended idling in all-electric mode is fine and does not have the same effect as when the engine is running? From the manual, Severe us is, "Moderate to heavy load or towing, mountainous or off-road conditions, extended idling, extended hot or cold operation."
  8. $40k sticker, $2K down, $0 fees, 15k miles/year, $399/month 24 months, ~$21k residual.
  9. Right, my buy out is $21K, but occurs in in 2 years instead of three. And no, I had to right a check for the down payment whoever asked that.
  10. No, the $7,500 rebate was just that, it was not linked to the tax credit. I also received $500 addition for being a veteran.
  11. When I first bought my 2015 Ford Fusion Energi, a full charge would have me backing down the driveway with 21 miles showing of EV range. Lately, it has been 18 miles of EV range at full charge. Is this due to the change of weather now that my area is dramatically hotter? THANKS!
  12. With the current Fusion Energi $7,500 rebate stacked with a military rebate I acquired a twenty-four month leased (15K miles a year) a 2015 Fusion Energi Titanium MSRP $41K for $379 a month, $2,100 down no security deposit. Residual and fees after the 24 months to own is right at $21K. Meaning I'll have a total of $32, 200 in to own (lease payments + down payment + residual) for a vehicle with an MSRP just North of $40,000 Question 1: That seems like a pretty solid purchase over the long term correct? Question 2: It would make sense with the ton of technology on this loaded Titanium to buy the 100k bumber to bumper offered by Ford at lease termination/purchase correct? THANKS!
  13. Was not even shopping for an EV, and Ford had an $8,000 rebate, so I own a Titanium Energi, and I like it more than I ever imagined. So I'm glad to be here!
