Another way to confirm whether the compressor is on is to select the climate power utilization gauge on the Left Hand side display.

I recently got a Fusion Titanium Gas only and noticed a few small differences from my Fusion Energi. The light switch and moonroof button are softtouch instead of buttons. There was no Fuel door door release button. Is there a specific requirement to have the switch on the Energi?

I was using grade assist but the battery not was not fully charged at the time. I'll watch it next time. Thanks

If you are planning to use an automatic car wash you should make sure you have the windshield wiper stalk set to off. If set to "intermitent" it will activate when it gets wet. Not a good thing with the rotating brushes. I always worry that the person that vacuums the car accidentally touches the stalk.

Is Ford Fusion Energi least reliable electric car?
Zman11 replied to Charlie3831's topic in Lounge - Fusion Energi
I had this happen a couple of times. My wife accidentally pressed the fuel cap release and drove it open for a mile or so and the engine light came on. Closed the fuel cap and it stayed on for a day or 2 and engine light went out. Did you accidentally hit the fuel cap release. Also, I recently drove a Fusion Ecoboost and noticed that there was no fuel door release button? Any reason the Energi has it? -

2 weeks after getting my Ti Energi we made a trip to CA. The trip odometer says I made 2463 miles with 770 in EV mode and 39.1MPG Average speed was between 65-75mph with air conditioner hit 105F in some areas. Did not have a chance to charge as my wife was not a fan of having to look for places to charge (That is why I got an Energi). Observations: * I loved BLIS and ACC. It was really nice not having to adjust to traffic speed with the ACC. Sometimes I had my foot on the brake pedal on the ready waiting for the Fusion to slow down. It did not fail me. I did chicken out and disabled it a couple of times as I thought it was not going to do it. * One issue I ran into a couple of times where the engine was revving around 4000rpm going 60mph. I disengaged ACC and Hill descent (I was on a 3% slope). It went back to normal (2000rpm) after a couple of minutes. Anybody experience this? * Took advantage of remote start via my smartphone so the air conditioner had 5 minutes head start. Wife really appreciated this. * She did not like the passenger seat being too low and not adjustable. She is 5' 1" and the sun visor was useless. Had to get a pillow :) Overall I am very happy with my Fusion. I had a BMW 335i convertible and don't really miss it. My wife has a BMW X5 that I am hoping it replaces for our long trips and might succeed. We get 15MPG so at more than twice the fuel economy on the Fusion.....

Are the fans supposed to only run when hot? I had my Fusion for a month and I can hear the fans on the rear shortly after plugin in.

Oil Change for the Internal Combustion Engine.
Zman11 replied to Phatman's topic in Batteries & Charging
When I picked up my Fusion, one of the sales guy checklist items was to schedule a free oil change appointment. I made it 6 months but probably should reschedule for 12 months. Anybody get it? Might be dealer specific. -
I seem to be having the same problem. Only difference is I assumed having the HD button lit was all that I needed to do. I did not realize HD stations will actually show on the display. Same with selecting surround and not sticking.

Same here. Drove to California for 850miles straight and ACC was a lifesaver. One thing I am curious about is when ACC has to brake does it turn on the brake lights?

Insurance Company not able to determine Energi model

I am having the same problem with State Farm right now. They asked me to take a picture of the car and the VIN and send it to them. Noticed that going to http://www.etis.ford.com and entering my VIN numbers it thinks it is a Transit Connect... -
It looks like there are a few that have the stop/go ACC Autonomous Cruise Control

Thanks Larryh and howardbc. So far, I have gotten a Chargepoint and Blink card (You register your credit card and will get charged as it gets used). I also installed the android apps. I don't think I will be able to do a lot of charging during my drive down there but i will try during the week as I am visiting relatives (Assuming they have an outlet nearby :)) What would be the easiest way to record MPG in hybrid mode. Wouldn't charging skew the numbers?

Hi, Got my Fusion Energi a couple of days ago and enjoying it so far. We will be taking a trip from WA to CA next week so I will be driving it for at least 1600 miles. What is the recommended break-in procedure. Years ago for an ICE I was told to make sure I don't stay at one speed/rpm, not driving at high speed etc. Have things changed? Is it different in an Energi? Thanks
-
Thanks. I am finding that having the 4 digit passcode is not really that useful. After quitting the app and restarting it I get the email and password sign in prompt. Looking forward to seeing the other options.

I finally got mine a couple of days ago. I decided to get it elsewhere right after the finance guy said, if you don't get it know your car will be considered used so the ESP will cost more. He was also pushing the maintenance plan talking about oil changes, brake pads being covered even after telling him my commute is only 12 miles and did not expect to have to change oil for a while and brakes lasting a long time. He also tried to sell me LoJack. Had to tell him about the Ford Mobile App :)

It wants a 4 digit code don't use the <return> key. After that it wants confirmation so you do it once more. One question I have is how long before you were able access the other features like trip information etc? The only thing I am able to do is look at the battery level
-
One problem I am having is that when entering the first digit the keyboard flips to alpha mode from the number keypad so I have to select the keypad 3 more times. Are you having that issue?
-
I actually got an update on my Galaxy S3. One nice change is that now you can use 4 characters to be used as a pin instead of your password. I got my Fusion Energi a couple of days ago and I can only see the battery charge level but not the other options so I am assuming I am not fully enabled

Thanks everybody. I will look into the extended warranty. My commute round trip is 14 miles so I don't expect the ICE to be running that often. Are there any issues with it not running often or giving it a change to warmup the engine when it does.

Hi, I am getting ready to buy a Ti Energi and noticed that in addition to the the Extended Warranty there is also an Extended Maintenance plan. Is it worthwhile? Thanks
