  1. $160.00 for the install how far away from the panel were you? Did he have to install the breaker also.... That is an awesome deal.
  2. Looks pretty good I have an LCS-25 it would be nice to have the UL Plugged version: http://www.metroplugin.com/shop/new-clippercreek-lcs-25p-with-plug/
  3. I just found out that Metro Plugin deal on the Eaton 30amp unit. http://www.metroplugin.com/shop/eaton-level-2/ This unit is selling everywhere and its 999.00 but they are selling them for $695.00. If you don't know Eaton is the new Partner of Ford on the My Energy Initiative http://www.examiner.com/article/ford-introduces-myenergy-lifestyle-to-manage-home-energy-use-and-save-money The Eaton Unit is a great solution for 30amps for sure. I know its ore the we need for the Fusion but sometimes future proofing is worth it.
  4. Its my understanding that the Energi was a "Toe in the Water" for Ford. They are quite happy with the numbers. In general EV/PHEV's won't hit a mainstream number the OEM's are happy with until EV/PHEV represent 2% of the units sold. Based on current sales percentages they estimate that being sometime in late 2015 to early 2016. Due to Range Anxiety the PHEV has a more immediate desire and are growing faster than the EV units (Minus the Nissan Leaf).
  5. Larryh thats one of the first Bosch/SPX units I've actually seen out there. Last I heard they were backlogged 8 weeks. I will say watch your unit closely SPX (Bosch purchased) has a bad history, hopefully they have addressed all the issues.
  6. Shaggy Metropluggin.com sells the Level 1 for $495.00.
  7. The Clipper Creek charges mine in 1 hour 58 minutes continually. Check out the guys at http://www.metroplugin.com they sell the unit with the new $495.00 price. Wish I had gotten that deal.
  8. Just got this tweet thought it may interest some here. I happen to have one at home and work wish I had gotten this deal... @Metroplugin Sale! 5kw Charger $549.99 tinyurl.com/n7l8oja -#EVSE -#EV -#PHEV #CHARGEDEVS -#TESLA -#NISSANLEAF -#ELECTRICCAR by 7/29 Coupon Code 7-29
  9. The Battery Temp and a Level 2 Charger shouldn't be an issue unless it just finished charging. Have you tried Preconditioning since you have a Level 2 charger?
  10. Mark, I made the drive from Canton over to Mall of Georgia Ford and they teated me good. For me its a hit or miss with Dealers in Atlanta, Love my Fusion 9 weeks on the same tank of gas for me. My commute is 18 miles each way and I have a Level 2 charger from Metro Plug In in Woodstock. So I never use gas.
  11. Time will certainly tell on the Bosch unit but hear is something to consider. The Clipper Creek unit is a Made in the USA product and now a days it is worth it to support our economy as the Bosch is Taiwanese. Alos worth considering is Clipper Creek is the provider of OEM to serval US Car Manufacturers. Consider going to metroplugin.com and requesting additional information. I think you will find that they will be able to provide you with excellent information and support and even match the direct CC pricing but with excellent customer service.
  12. Yes this CC unit is Level 1 and is being provided as OEM to several US Automakers. COntact metroplugin.com and request the information as this is a great level 1.
  13. As noted earlier in a post. The big difference here is Ford did not design the Fusion to be an EV. They took an ICE and added EV and this is clearly demonstrated by choosing parallel drive systems. The issue that Chevy has is the huge expense in the RD with our (Tax Payer Dollars) because they opted for a new design completely. Chevy is clearly learning as the Spark is ICE and an EV coming based on the same model. Toyota who share the technology with Ford is what drove the decision to not create a new platform but to simply expand. EV is not going away the sales numbers growing at a steady clip of 35% over 2012. The issue is charging stations and the DOE has ramped up Blink to fulfill its contract free charging units . In the case of Georgia Blink is slated to install 500 additional commercial charging stations FREE (Equipment) by end of 2013. The DOE is certainly trying to help the chicken and egg issue of EV's.
  14. Well it took close to 3 months but I finally have my tag....
  15. Well just wanted to give an update. The Dealer was finally able to replicate the issue and the car produced a code of P0D8F. As a result they had to completely disassemble the battery pack and install a new S0BDM Module. The best description is this module reads the temp from the batteries. Cross my fingers!!!
  16. You are lucky here in Atlanta I have the same issue as you but starting at around 82. Currently Ford is shipping a expanded OBD to try and record more data on the issue. You need to report the issue to the Dealer via the Zone Manager. I think there realize that this is a bigger issue for many people. Get with Ford and help give them the data so we can get a solution. Even if the solution won't work for you and I we can help make the car better. Also checkout the thread in the Battery Section "Hybrid on Due to Battery Temp"
  17. Well that was fun the Zone Manager basically petted me on the head and was very condescending. After him viewing several of your comments they are going to do some through testing. I have asked for copies of the testing and the Tolerance Temps of the batteries. We shall see...
  18. Very interesting information. I am sitting in the Dealer this am waiting for the Zone Manager. Always nice to have more info.
  19. Thank you I don't remember seeing the Lock step in the manual but clearly its needed. Thanks for the help.
  20. @ engergized and @larryh It was in Auto EV and stays there when this problem starts to show up it changes the mode out of Auto EV. You bring up a good point that I need to make sure they (Ford) understands. The Battery Temp message only occurs in conjunction with the ICE coming on. And the gauge for the KW normally is up around 3/4 of the way with the Blue Hash Mark. Its only when it gets hot the Blue Hash Mark changes. I have thought about leaving the seat down but the fact is you should not have too. And as an FYI: the cabin temperature was at 74 and I had been driving for about 8 miles before this started.
  21. I feel dumb asking this question. So does the remote start via the FOB work for anyone? I double tap the button most times it blinks red, occasionally I get 3 green blinks but the car doesn't start. Start in terms of powering on and turning on the climate radio. I seem to get nothing at all. Coming from and ICE it just started up, so I am trying to find out do I have a problem (I assume so) but what does the remote start actually do? Sorry I realize this sounds dumb...
  22. So it happened again today. It was 92 in Atlanta. I finally have a meeting with the Zone Manager next week so lets hope he understands the car. I have a link to todays video its a little long but it shows the switch from EV to Hybrid.
  23. Well so it looks like the saga will continue. After all the conversations back and forth the Dealer failed to replicate the problem and only called the Ford Hotline. On top of that they even didn't even charge the HV Battery to attempt to replicate the issue. I sure hope they get me that appt with the Zone Manager because they have some explaining to do...
