I have a 2014 Ford Fusion Energi Titanium that I took delivery on 8/23/14. Starting almost immediately (9/14 - 1450 miles) the car started having strange issues. Since then the car has had numerous issues - only a couple have been resolved by the dealership service. These issues include but ar not limited to: Repeated left rear Cross Traffic Sensor Failure warnings Air Bag warning light coming on.Air Conditioner completely InOp after remote start.GPS completely out (White screen with a NO GPS symbol)Car continuing to charge and draw high current for up to 15 hours after car reports full charge (all private and public level 2 chargers)Car reporting that charger 'Accidentally Unplugged' in my garage when it wasn't - and the car completes charging with no intervention from me."Please Keep Hands on Steering Wheel" flashing for ½ second and dismissing itself without pressing OK - this happens over and over in cycles randomly.Satellite radio continues to drop out.Go times fail to start car and condition temperature - even though the go times show in display in car.Car reporting random numbers to My Ford Mobile - such as 9 mile trip on EV yet power used and mileage show as '0' I opened a case with Ford Customer Service months ago and they told me they would contact the dealership and work with them. They only contacted them once according to the service manager. I have tried to stay in contact with the area manager that was assigned to my case. However - she has failed to return either phone calls or emails and has basically left me hanging. Does anyone know how to escalate this issue above the area manager so I can get this case resolved one way or another? Thanks - Rick

Well - I've read all your posts - thanks to all. I do a lot of driving and having the L2 charger allows me to minimize gas by charging 2 to 4 times a day. What I'm getting from your posts is that the car continues in the 'charging' state for the purpose of cooling the HV batteries, as well as the charging the 12V battery when needed. Seems reasonable. Would be nice if the service department at the dealership would explain that rather then just saying "There is nothing wrong with your car!!!"

I purchased my 2014 Ford Fusion Energi Titanium fully loaded at the end of August 2014. At the same time I ordered a Clipper Creek HCS-40 Level 2 charger. Love both. It's great to have the car fully charge in less than 2 hours. In April of this year I started to notice that the charging light stayed on after My Ford Mobile notified me that the car was charged. The light would stay on for 15 minutes to 4 hours. I contacted Clipper Creek and to make sure that it wasn't their problem, they replaced the unit with a brand new unit. That didn't resolve the issue. I tested the issue using the Level 1 charger and the same thing happened. I then started checking public chargers and the same thing - when I would return to the car after MFM notification and the charge light would be on. Further information - when I would remove the charge plug from the car, I could hear the relay in the charger open (it's loud) and the relays in the car would then change state. I knew this was different from before the issue started because I remember hearing the relay open just before I'd get the fully charged notification. I brought the car to the dealership with this issue as well as a number of other minor issues (that I was going to wait till the 20,000 mile service) to have them looked at. Among those were a segment out on the charge port light and repeated warnings that the left rear cross traffic sensor was bad. After 3 day the car was returned and I was told that the solution to the charging issue was to replace the charge port light ring. It did not resolve the issue. (Also - after upgrading the firmware for the cross traffic light - it came back on 2 days after I got the car back.) I'm not a rocket scientist - but I am a physicist, and a certified computer tech. I know quite a bit about electronics - and I can make a pretty good guess that an output device like the light wouldn't affect the charging circuitry. Also Anyway - has anyone else had the charging issue. If so - was it fixed and if so, what was the resolution. Thanks,
