  1. Just installed the Siemens Versacharger in my garage to charge my TWO (yes two) brand new Fusion Energis. I noted similar things: Cars are 'fully charged' yet charger still says charging. I'll have to investigate this 12V battery drawdown issue. Also, my charge from Amazon was $599 (approx. $645 w/tax) and install was $650. No tax credits per se, but there are other 'green car' rebates from CA Air quality board and US IRS. I will keep you posted on the Versacharger operations. At first blush, seems like a well made unit, and I must say I do like the neon leds in the dark garage at 1am...I've seen it once. Note that charger prices are dropping. Expect this unit and its competition to be in the $450-$500 range by Christmas. Cheers!
  2. Hey-Thanks for the excellent video. Very well done, clear, excellent photography. Thanks.
  3. Related to this...Is there any way to leave the keyfob in the car, and then lock/unlock the car from the keypad? I would like to leave fob in car when I go for my morning jog...Could not find this in the manual. Thanks.
  4. BTW-the dealer would NOT enable the DRLs. Showed me a service note from Ford Corporate that enabling this feature would be a violation of Ford Motor Co. Dealer license, blah blah. So I have an inquiry into Ford as to 'Why is this prohibited in US?' I will keep you posted.
  5. Well, I am now the proud owner of a Metallic Grey Energi Titanium. Thanks for all who provided suggestions for pickup. I must say that the purchase experience was very professional. I am impressed that Ford dealers are doing something right. If you're in the Bay Area (greater San Francisco) buy your Fusion from Marc at Tracy Ford-worth the drive. Car is fantastic. I really like the voice activated climate controls. How cool is that? Fit/finish is beyond anything that I've seen in a North American car in years. Seats are very comfortable. Handling is solid (though the Michelin high MPG tires are a bit stiff). Plenty of cabin room for 4 adults. Trunk is useful enough, given that large Li-ion battery in there. My only complaint-nit really-is that the included floor mats are kind of cheap. I'll replace these in 6 months with some better rubber mats. I'm looking forward to a long (8 years and/or 130k miles) involvement with this forum. Cheers! SGC
  6. Thanks all for the great suggestions. And, yes, I'm counting down days, hours, minutes until I'm inhaling that new car smell!
  7. I'll be picking up my new Ford Fusion Energi Titanium on Saturday 8/2. Dealer has been surprisingly professional and accommodating. I must say I am impressed! I'm collecting suggestions for additional dealer assistance at delivery. Here's what I have so far: (1) Activate DRL (2) Instruction in MySync (not sure if I really need this, but...) Others? Thanks.
