  1. I like lane keep assist; mostly because it gives me peace of mind. I don't think it's actually saved me from any collisions yet (in the 3 weeks I've had the car) :) Automatic lights and brights are nice. I think those are part of the package, but I can't exactly remember. As everyone on here will tell you, ACC is basically a must. I'm pretty sure I drive more than half my miles with it on. And I like park assist and use it sometimes because I live in the city, but it probably is a waste if you're not going to use it at least once a month. It's a nice thing to show off though :) For your other questions, the appearance and moonroof weren't very important to me (though the brick red leather looks nice in the photos!), but all the dealer inventory had moonroofs so I got one anyway. It feels about normal size or a little smaller. The left edge of it is just about in line with the right side of my head while driving. It retracts fully, at least, and also can tilt forward a bit for ventilation. Two skinny people could fit through it, but not easily.

  3. Very good idea, Jeff. I was going to to do this, but the last experience was such a close call that I got ahead of myself, thinking about possible causes and warranty coverage, that I forgot to just have someone stand outside and look. Will report back.
  4. New FFE Titanium, bought it four days ago. I tested out the active park assist at the dealership (right-hand side parking), and of course it was amazing. But now when I've tried it two times since then (left-hand side parking), it's gotten my front corner uncomfortably close to the car in front of me. The front sensing system will beep, even go to a continuous tone. The first time, I had faith and everything turned out okay. The second time, I bailed and parked elsewhere manually. Is this expected behavior? My best guess is that something is wrong with the left side's sensors, so I'll probably take it to a dealership soon. FWIW, none of these cases involved any unusual weather, unusual vehicles to park next to, or any obstructions that I could see. The first two were on flat roads, and the most recent one was on a slight incline, but I don't think that should matter much because I was in reverse.
  5. Thanks! I know you'll enjoy yours. ACC really is amazing. Are you planning on getting ESP? I'm going to look into it...
  6. Bought a 2014 Energi Titanium today; yay! MSRP was about $42,950; A-plan was $38,579.40, so a $4370 discount. Then $2000 in incentives, brings the purchase price down to $36,579. Federal plus California credits should bring that down another $5500, though California also gets 3.3k of sales tax. I was actually not fully convinced when I bought, but I decided it was probably the right move, and the car really impressed me on the drive home. I'm a happy camper :)
  7. Thank you both for the data points. Across six dealers, I've been able to get two to quote A-plan prices. A little less than your examples, I'm getting $3500-3900 below MSRP, though this is for 2014 models.
  8. Thanks a lot, wazer. Incentives still apply as normal on top of A-plan, right?
  9. Does anyone know what the "A Plan" (Ford employee and family member) pricing is? I'm considering both trims, though leaning toward titanium and more options; also giving C-Max Energi some slight consideration. I went to a dealer yesterday who said they couldn't tell me the A Plan price until I had a PIN generated; anyone know if this is true? Thanks!
