My New-To-Me 2016 Energi
Wolfgang57 reacted to PatrickHDC for a gallery image
Hello! Gave myself a little birthday gift of a Fusion. I loved my Ford Escape for the past ten years, but with a new job, I’m on the road for work more, so needed a hybrid to deal with the hellish San Francisco Bay Area traffic. Just got it last Thursday and I’m loving it! Took a long freeway drive on Saturday. Great handling, all kinds of options and accessories, awesome sound system, and best of all, excellent MPGs. Also, I love the unique bronze metallic color.1 point -

This was a nice place to get a free slow charge. All Plug ins are welcome see the sign! Clean environment, friendly staff, family restrooms, large selection at various vending machines. I think it was close to exit 214, when traveling to Richmond from Williamsburg Va. heading eastbound on I-641 point -

lifetime summary 04

I reset the lifetime summary when I picked up the vehicle at 4.7 miles. We have driven 1.6 miles on the engine and a total of 2199 EV miles. And still have a full tank of premium gasoline from our dealer. Regen miles should show 331.7 miles, see my picture history.1 point -
Energi charge door decal

The decal was just put on today July 25, 2013. It was very easy to apply. You can barely see it on a black vehicle. The decal is a flat charcoal color, I wish it was like a hologram and would stand out more. Looks nice, but would look better on a red, white, blue, or green car.1 point -

MPGs in hybrid-only mode (EV Later). No energi used from the plug-in battery. Note that the Energy Use display truncates the last digit of the fuel used rather than round up or round down. The system does however use the entire amount of fuel used in the MPG calculation. Actual fuel used was 1.07922 gal for 50.4 miles = 46.7 mpg. 0.0 kW of energy was used from the plug-in battery.1 point -

This was my evening commute today, 4/11. I'm pretty proud of this one. I depleted the EV range on my morning drive in and do not have a way to recharge at work yet. So I knew the drive home would be as a regular Hybrid. With all of the negative remarks from folks with the Hybrid not achieving 47mpg, I was VERY pleased to get 55.1MPG with an Energi that is a few hundred pounds heavier. And I just have over 700 miles on it and the temp was just around 60. So I expect this to only get better.1 point -
My FordTouch Home Screen

From the album: Splendida Futuris (Bright Future)
The My FordTouch home screen is easy to see and navibate the many functions that it contains. By integrating the Ford Sync system, many of the functions can be activated by simply speaking a few words. This allows your to focus your attention on the road ahead. A nice added bonus is that you can store up to 32 photos for the background...(that's over one different photo for every day of the month!)1 point -

Ferrying across The Mississippi

My wife and I ferried across the Mississippi near La Place, LA. If you decide to visit the Laura Plantation, give the ferry a try. You can take the bridge further upstream, but the ferry is unique, short and cheap.1 point
