So, can anyone beat a 36 mile projection? 

How in the world do you do that? My top was 27. I noticed that as the cold weather approached I get less. I don’t know if it’s a coincidence to me not “trying” as much. 

At one time I had worked mine up to 42.  I think I may have even posted a picture of it several years back. But I was basically tricking the system.  I never actually got 42 miles on an electric charge.  I would keep changing from EV to No EV at different times during my drive.  Also using Low constantly.  The number is basically a guestimate so don't take it too seriously.

This. We've got a member or two over in the C-Max community who like to post crazy numbers like this but they do a lot of futzing with switching modes multiple times during a trip. It's not hard to get the 'guess-o-meter' up this high (inaccurately of course) if you really wanted to. Ultimately you are never going to get near those numbers unless you drove like 15mph with no stops or something equally ridiculous.

2015 here.  I'm at 12-15 in the winter and maybe 17 in the summer.  Montana's cold weather really reduces range a lot.  

You can really run the mi/charge number up if you just sit with the power on.  I have seen 42 mi/charge on my 2020 FFE even though I don't get anything close to that in actual mileage.
